Henderson, David Leonard Wylie   (c.1899 - 1966)

No birth records have been found for this collector (but likely Tasmania); he died by suicide in Bourke, NSW, on 30 October 1966.

He attended Hutchins School, Hobart, Tasmania, where he passed his Junior Public Examinations (4 credits, 5 passes) at the end of 1915.

He is listed as a registered Surveyor in the NSW GOVERNMENT GAZETTE records of 1937 and 1940 with the date of obtaining registration as 7 May 1935.

His 1940 address as "Box 514 Post Office, Griffith", NSW, would support him as being the collector, based on the concentration of records there in the AVH map.

David Leonard Wylie Henderson married recently divorced Vera Louisa Riddell (née Falkenhagen) in 1937.

When Vera's brother Noel Falkenhagen (a grazier from Bourke) died in May 1951, Vera was named as the Executrix handling his estate. At that time her address is given as "Rose Isle Bourke". Probably her husband, David Henderson, was also living there.

When the patriarch of the Falkenhagen family, Colin Campbell Falkenhagen, dies in Bourke in 1954, the death notice mentions his daughter "Mrs. Vera Henderson (Berida, Bourke)".

A reference in 1963 in 'The Western Herald' (Bourke newspaper) states:
